A Diverse and Inclusive Community

Maranatha Church is a multi cultural multi relational Our curriculum appeals to student diversity and interest, and is rigorous and challenging. We understand each child comes to us with different talents, learning styles, and identities. And we celebrate that difference because our diversity is our strength.

Community is everything at Corlears. It’s who we are and how things get done. Everyone here is motivated by a deep commitment to making sure each child and family feels welcome and included. When everyone feels like they belong, we are stronger and smarter together. We’re a community driven to make the world a better place—starting in our own backyard.

Where it all becan

Following a miraculous encounter with God in 1982, Pam and Gerard Dunphy started to attend a local prayer meeting. They then met weekly with three others around their kitchen table. This house meeting grew to the extent that a hall had to be rented for a couple of years

Pam and Gerard married in 1975 and are blessed with 3 children and 7 grandchildren

Gerard worked for the ESB for 34 years but took early retirement in 2004 to be in fulltime ministry.

On the 28th November 2010 Gerard was ordained as pastor by the Assemblies of God in Ireland(AGI) now Christian Churches Ireland.

Gerard and Pam have dedicated their lives to building a 21st century church in Waterford where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached, the Holy Spirit is present, and the Word of God is relevant
