Trusting God

Trusting God

To our Church Family,

Isa 40:28  "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom"

You can feel it in the air. In every conversation and news report.

As you open your social media, your heart races a little. You toss and turn at night as the Covid-19 pandemic sweeps across our world. No dauphin These are anxious days

The question of cause is why am I anxious?

This world is God's good creation and yet, it feels like the world is crumbling around us. Deep down we know it is not supposed to be like this. Our bodies are so vulnerable, so too is our economy, our health care system, our government.

We don't need to be ashamed of our anxiety This virus reminds us of the things that have always been true. Something is wrong in the world and we are not in control

Anxiety is a natural response in the face of change we feel unsafe but those who trust in Jesus can know real safety eternally.

There is One who is in control

The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the earth. God is not surprised by this virus  He does not panic. Not one atom is outside his control

In Christ nothing can separate us from the love of God No economic crash, no job loss, and no virus

Sick or well employed or not you are safe in Him

When we know that our heavenly father is in control we know the protection we have in him

We do not have to panic buy or live in fear

We, brothers and sisters, can be the peace in this anxious world

Fight for peace in your hearts

As your anxiety rises ask yourself "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom"|May this knowledge change your day and prompt you towards generosity, patience and courage

Blessings
